EDMONTON, ALTA. - Julia Wing's third-period goal would be the decider as the Ooks defeat the SAIT Trojans 3-2 Friday night at the NAIT Arena.

Moira Bryan opened the scoring halfway into the first with a shorthanded goal giving the Ooks a 1-0 lead. Carlin Boey followed it up when he scored 18:33 into the period to give NAIT a 2-0 lead heading into the first intermission. 

SAIT bounced back in the second period with goals from Brittany MacDonald and Paige Halderman to tie the game at 2 heading into the final frame.

Throughout the third period, the game would remain a close back and forth battle until Julia Wing beat Kaylin Schellenberg at the 16:07 mark on the power-play, to give the Ooks the l3-2 ead and the win.

The two teams will rematch tomorrow night in Calgary at 6:00 pm.
