EDMONTON, Alta. - The NAIT Ooks women's hockey team defeated the SAIT Trojans 2-1 on Saturday night in the NAIT Arena.
The Trojans' Tashel Scantlebury opened the scoring early in the opening frame to put the visiting team up 1-0. Late in the period, Michaella Kibblewhite scored the equalizer for the Ooks beating Kaylin Schellenberg from a sharp angle. The second period would see scoring chances from both sides, but no goals. In the final frame with just under six minutes remaining, Jordan McMillan buried a Wynona Creyke feed to give NAIT a 2-1 lead and the eventual victory.
