CALGARY, ALTA., (Feb. 10, 2023) - The SAIT Trojans women's hockey team fell Friday night to the visiting NAIT Ooks in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) action played at Winsport Arena.

After tying the game at 1-1 in the third period, the homeside gave up four straight en route to a 5-1 defeat at the hands of the Ooks.

SAIT falls to 2-12 on the season, while the Ooks improved to a league-best 10-3.

Tamryn Ward scored SAIT's lone goal on the night. NAIT responded with markers from Jessica Engelbrecht, Josie Nichols (2), Hanna Paquette and Cassidy Shandro.

The teams will wrap up their home-and-home set Saturday night back in Edmonton.

Engelbrecht and SAIT's Samantha Wiley were named Players of the Game.
