Lakeland Rustlers RSEQ National Collegiate Invitational Champs

Sainte-Marie, QC — The Lakeland Rustlers Women’s Hockey team earned a championship victory this past weekend, winning the RSEQ National Collegiate Invitational tournament in Sainte-Marie, Quebec.

The Rustlers competed against a strong national field that included fellow ACAC programs Olds College and NAIT, along with several top teams from Quebec and one from the East Coast. Throughout the tournament, the Rustlers demonstrated consistency, discipline, and a high level of competitive play.

Over six games, the Rustlers delivered a dominant defensive performance, allowing just two goals against while recording a significant goal differential. Their ability to control play at both ends of the ice was a key factor in their championship run.

The Rustlers are proud of their performance and of representing their league on a national stage, showcasing the strength and competitiveness of collegiate women’s hockey.
