Big win for the Lethbridge Kodiaks
Calgary, AB – Saturday, March 12th was a very important game for the Kodiaks and Rattlers, as winners would head to the ACAC Futsal playoffs. Both teams were hungry for a win as their previous encounter resulted in a close 3-2 victory for the Rattlers. The Kodiaks were well equipped for this game as they communicated well and played as a team throughout. Their level heads brought them a sweeping 5-1 victory over the rattlers. The Kodiaks had goal contirbutions form multiple players in the first half including #2 Meaghan Welby, #3 Megan Morrison and #5 Ashley Sazalski. Which guided the team into the second half with 3-0 lead. A goal by #17 Maisa Rebello of the Rattlers brought the team closer to the Kodiaks but #22 Olivia DePasqual showed up, along with the help of her team and had another great game in the tournament, scoring 2 goals to lead to their victory over the Rattlers in the second half.
The Players of the game were both goal keepers #20 Jordan Quin form the Kodiaks and #1 Amanda Oevering from the Rattlers.
