WFUT| Kodiaks Fall to their Rivals the Rattlers

February 21, 2023- The Lethbridge College Kodiaks were on home turf during the reading break as they faced off against their rivals the Medicine Hat Rattlers.

The Rattlers started off strong with a goal from #17 midfielder Maisa Rebello, which slid in just below the Kodiaks goalkeeper's hands. The teams were scrambling at the end of the Kodiaks' pitch where #17 Maisa Rebello managed to score once again by deflecting it off Kodiaks #4 Keira Worsey and into her own net. Nevertheless, the Kodiaks came back with fire under their feet as Kodiaks midfielder, #13 Nikki Stahl achieved their first goal of the night. The score at the end of the first half was Kodiaks 1 and Rattlers 2.

As the second half started the Rattlers came in with dedication as they quickly achieved another point for their team. Ratters' goalkeeper Molly Morris kicked a beautiful foul shot right to #9 Rowan Prud'homme who stood directly in front of the Kodiaks goal tender, kicking it up and behind them right into the net. Rattlers #17 Maisa Rebello was a dominant force on the pitch achieving another goal making that the only hat trick of the evening. The Kodiaks fought hard and made shots; however, none of them successfully found their way to the back of the net leaving the Rattlers ahead and inevitably winning the game 4-1.
