Broncos Women's Soccer Secures Big Win Over UA Augustana

The Olds College Broncos  scored three goals in the first half of the match to defeat the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings 4-2 in ACAC conference play at Richardson Pioneer Field at Olds College.

Olds College Women's Soccer improves its overall record to 2-1. The University of Alberta Augustana Vikings dropped to 0-2 in ACAC conference play.

The University of Alberta Augustana jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second minute of the match when Hanna Boyce scored the first goal of the game.

The Broncos pulled ahead with three consecutive goals by Felicia Rodney (10th & 35th minute) and Tiona Paton (32nd minute).

Both the Broncos and the Vikings recorded 11 shots on goal in the first half.

The Broncos scored the first goal of the second half to make the score 4-1 behind the foot of Felicia Rodney.

The Vikings added a second goal scored by Maya Pardeahtan in the 57th minute but their late push was too late.

The Vikings outshot the Broncos in the game 22-14. 

Felicia Rodney was named Player of the Game for the Broncos after his/her stellar play at the Forward Position. Rodney recorded three goals in the victory.

The Broncos take on Red Deer Polytechnic next on the road at 12 pm on September 26.
