Slow starts have plagued the Lakeland Rustlers at home.

The women's team was hoping to pull off a significant upset against the Keyano Huskies, who entered the contest ranked first in the North Division. A pair of early goals, both assisted by Nathalie Anderson, put the vistors in control of the contest, which they were able to hold with relative ease. Kyla Franks starred for the Rustlers, scoring a pair of nice goals, while Anderson added a goal of her own via penalty, leading to the 5-2 result.

The two squads play again Sunday afternoon.
