Ooks WVB fall to the Vikings 3-1

EDMONTON, Alta, - The NAIT Ooks fell to the Augustana Vikings 3-1 on Friday night in the NAIT gymnasium.

The Ooks came out strong winning the first set 28-26 to take an early 1-0 lead. The Vikings would respond taking the next set 25-23 to tie the match. From then on it was all Augustana as they took the next two sets 25-15. 

Players of the game for NAIT was Annika Jeglum, Sahe Boyes took home the honours for the Vikings.

Team Leaders:

• Rae Metrunec led the Vikings with 14 kills and 16 points.
• Alyssa Clark led the with 9 kills and 11 points.
• Karen Wagner supported the Vikings with 31 assists. 
• Anna Jeglum supported the Ooks with 30 assists.
• Danielle Brockman had 11 digs for the Vikings.
• Emma Norenburg had 17 digs for the Ooks.

The Big Picture:

• The NAIT Ooks are now 0-7 and sit 7th in the ACAC North Division.
• The Augustana Vikings are now 6-3 and sit 3rd in the ACAC North Division.

• The two teams will now rematch tomorrow at 6:00 pm in Camrose.
