Keyano Huskies  3  Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder 1 25-15 16-25 25-20 25-21

Fans, players, coaches and staff were greeted with the first true snowfall in the region this morning. While things may have been cooling off outside, things were heating up inside as the Keyano Huskies took on the visiting Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder in ACAC women's volleyball.

Set 1  Keyano 25  Concordia 15

Yesterday it was the amazing home court debut of Keyano Huskies' rookie Amber Francis. This afternoon it was another rookie grabbing our attention with Abigail Vandop leading the charge with several kills and a few service aces to open the set. A Francis BANGO  17-13 puts an exclamation mark on the set.

Set 2 Keyano 16   Concordia 25

Thunders' Tia Schram and Tianna Smith starting to dominate the net play. Huskies' setter Mackenzie Stokes catches the opponents off guard a few times with second hit balls. Huskies use timeouts to no avail.

Set 3  Keyano 25 Concordia 20

Some timely kills by Lauren Huntley and defensive play by libero Raisa Stokes give the Huskies a 9-4 lead with Thunder calling timeout. The best rally of the weekend for the women find the Huskies going up 19-16.

Set  4 Keyano 25  Concordia 21

Thunder jump out to a 8-2 lead but Huskies coach Kira Sutcliffe does not call timeout letting the women regroup. Veteran Kally L'Heureux is steady at the service line to take the Huskies home.
