Set 1:

Huskies 17 Vikings 25

Emotions were high at the beginning of today's match-up vs the visiting Vikings as the Huskies recognized four players who will be graduating and moving on from the program at the end of this semester. 

As the match got underway both teams came out aggressive with the Vikings hitting the ball well. However, the Huskies showed their defensive prowess with a pair of big blocks from Abigail Vandop. 

However, the Vikings would prevail and take the first set Huskies 17 and Vikings 25.

Set 2: 

Huskies 20 Vikings 25

The second set was much more tightly contested with the Huskies and Vikings trading point for point up until 15 - 15. A net malfunction slowed the game down. While the repairs were being made both the Huskies and Vikings regrouped. Both sides made substitutions that brought energy into their respective lineups. Although the Vikings took the second set as they were firing on all cylinders Huskies 20 Vikings 25.   


Set 3:  

Huskies 25 Vikings 27 

The third set saw the Huskies and Vikings trading points back and forth until 17 - 17. After a strategic substitution by Coach Sutcliffe saw the Huskies lead grow to 3 with the score 20 - 17 in favor of the Huskies. However, Coach Enright elected to use a timeout to rally the team and fight back to tie the score 23 - 23 all. Ultimately, the Vikings would complete the sweep with the final set score Huskies 25 and Vikings 27.
