Thursday press release from Cégep Garneau

According to new directives issued by the Quebec government for gatherings of 250 people or more, the CCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship will continue to be played behind closed doors. Some spaces will be reserved for the families of the players at the Cégep Garneau Sports Centre. The move is part of measures to control the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus announced by Quebec Prime Minister François Legault earlier in the day.

"The health and safety of student-athletes, as well as that of our staff and tournament visitors, is important to us. That's why we made the decision to keep the tournament schedule as planned, but these will be held behind closed doors," said Patricia Poirier, Executive Director of Cégep Garneau.
