WVB| Kodiaks Beat Rival Medicine Hat Rattlers 3 sets to 1 in Friday Night Faceoff

November 19, 2021- The Kodiaks start the weekend with a bang as they take on the Medicine Hat Rattlers looking to get back in the win column against their rivals.

The Kodiaks took a strong lead early into the first set of the match as they attempted to keep the Rattlers from getting back in this set. The Kodiaks stood their ground a kept the Rattlers defenseless taking the first set 25-16.

The Rattlers came into the second set on a mission to avenge themselves after a first set loss to keep the game from getting out of reach. The Kodiaks fought with every inch of their bodies to reel the set back in but fell just short as the Rattlers took the second set by a score of 25-20 with vicious intent.

With the match tied going into the third set, both teams knew they had to make a push if they wanted to take the match out of the reach of the opponent and the Kodiaks heard the message and they put up the wall to keep Medicine Hat from collecting points. The Kodiaks had 3 blocks, 2 of which belonged to Claire Armstrong as the Kodiaks take the third set 25-17 where they looked to close the game in the next set.

The Kodiaks had all the momentum heading into the 4th set where they looked to take the win. The Rattlers however weren't going to back down without giving it their all out on the court trying to stay in the game. Jamie Brown was on fire as she recorded a phenomenal 9 kills in the match. The momentum carrying over was more than enough for the Kodiaks to reel the game in and win the set 25-17 and the match 3 sets to 1.
