Wolves host Keyano Huskies for a weekend serie

The GPRC Wolves hosted the Keyano Huskies from Fort McMurray for a double header. Coming off a tough 5 set loss, the Wolves were eager to get back on the court.

Both teams relentless in the 1st set. Back and forth until the Huskies pull out in front by 5 points, 13:18. The Wolves would not recover and the Huskies win the first set 25:22 with a missed serve.

Wolves start the 2nd set with a block and a point. The rally continued in the Wolves favor as they went on to win 25:20. #9 GPRC Madison Chabot served the last 3 points. Match tied at 1:1.

Equally matched teams battled it out in the 3rd set. Many long rallies, had both teams battling for points. Ace serve for #11 GPRC Carly Thomson finally put the Wolves on top 16:15. Carly served 3 GPRC points. The Wolves took a 5 point lead as Huskie head coach called a timeout. Keyano rallies for 3 straight points before GPRC coach calls a timeout. All GPRC out of the timeout. Wolves win the set 25:21.

Another close battle between the teams. Wolves successful and win the set 29:27 and the match 3:1.

Player of the Game for the GPRC Wolves was #6 Paige Wells.

Next home game for the Wolves is Friday December 3 at 8pm when they host the Augustana Vikings.
