The Lakeland Rustlers take on the Grande Prairie College Wolves this afternoon at Lakeland College in Lloydminster, Alberta at 1pm. The Rustlers used the energy they had from last night to take home the first set 25-12 with big points from Jenay Varga from the Rustlers and Leah Friesen off the Wolves. Entering the second set, the Rustlers go back to back with the Wolves with Mackenzie Yole leading the Rustlers with 4 kills and Lana Matthews leading the Wolves with 3 kills. However, the Rustlers managed to pull away to take the second set 25-14. The Rustlers take a strong lead in the third set, executing on most receives. The Rustlers took the last set 25-7. Finishing off the weekend undefeated. The players of the game were #11 Orianna Hyndman off the Rustlers and #4 Lana Mathews off the Wolves. The Lakeland Rustlers want to honour this game to their 5th year Senior athletes Brooklyn Boehm, #15 Nicole Sharpe and #11 Orianna Hyndman for their hard work and commitment to the team over the last five years.
