Rustlers Vs. Eagles

The Lakeland College Rustlers take on the King's University Eagles tonight at 6 pm at Lakeland College in Lloydminster, Alberta. The Rustlers and Eagles start in an exciting and close-set with points going back and forth between each team. The Rustlers had a great effort by rookie libero Seanna Trumier receiving the hard hits from Samantha Liewen on the Eagles. However, the Rustlers came back after the Eagles took a slight lead to take home the set 25-22. The Eagles bring the energy to the 2nd set and are led by #10 Lauren Kroetsch with three kills, and the Rustlers led by #8 Avery Bates with four kills in another close location. However, the Rustlers lose the second set 25-27. The Eagles fire back in another close-set and take it home 23-25. The Rustlers attempt to come back to take the match to 5 sets. However, they fall short, and the Eagles take home the game in the 4th set, 16-25. The game's Players were #3, Gracyn Hay, off the Lakeland Rustlers, and #9 Samantha Lieuwin off the King's Eagles.
