WVB| Kodiaks Dominate Trojans in Offensive Battle to Advance to Next Round of the ACAC Playoffs

The Kodiaks looked to start the playoffs right as the visiting SAIT Trojans looked to advance in the playoff race.

The Kodiaks were hot to start the 1st set taking control of the game right start and offensively destructive while the Trojans struggled to keep up with the Kodiaks. SAIT fought as hard as they could to generate some offensive and gain points, but the Kodiaks continued to shut down the Trojans, holding them off to take the 1st set by a score of 25-16.

The Kodiaks kept the pressure on the Trojans once again taking control of the set right from the hop as nothing seemed to go the way the Trojans would've liked. The Kodiaks capitalized on the Trojans miss-plays pushing Lethbridge even farther ahead. SAIT attempted to make a push late in the set but were quickly shut down by the Kodiaks strong offense and defensive skills allowing the Kodiaks to take the 2nd set 25-18 giving them a 2-set lead.

The Trojans turned the tables in the 3rd set as they took over control gaining a large lead on the Kodiaks leaving them looking for a solution to get back into the set. The Kodiaks found that solution and made a large push on the Trojans getting right back into the set closing the margin to only a couple points before SAIT managed to pick up the last couple points to give the Trojans the 3rd set 25-22.

Both teams were very aggressive offensively in the 4th set as the Trojans and Kodiaks refuse to go down without a fight. The Kodiaks held the lead for the majority of the set as the Trojans tried to keep up. The Kodiaks were able to hold off SAIT allowing Lethbridge to close out the set taking the set 25-20 and taking the game 3 sets to 1, pushing them to the next round of the playoffs.
