Rustlers sweep Huskies to stay undefeated

For a few fleeting moments, it looked like the match could extend past three sets on Saturday.

The Rustlers traded aggressive serving with the Huskies in the first two sets, with the visitors proving the first team to come at the nationally ranked squad with some confidence. While Keyano held leads in both, Lakeland's consistency kept them on top, 25-21 and 25-20. In the third, the Rustlers were in full control, winning 25-16.

Jenay Varga lead all scorers with 18 points, while Kaylie Lueck was named Player of the Game for her steady play at the net, which included 5 kills and no errors. Tyneille Neufeld (10 kills) was POG for Keyano.

The Rustlers now head out on the road, where they will face the SAIT Trojans on Friday.
