NWP Wolves host King's University Eagles in the second day of action on Saturday, January 28.

The Eagles take the first serve and after an out of bounds block also take the first point. Wolves #3 Gracie Smith answers back and gets the kill. Ace serve by #4 Samantha Silva for the Eagles. Wolves #13 Alex Pullishy gets the kill with perfect placement in the back corner. Points continue to go back and fourth with the Eagles maintaining their 2-point lead. A couple perfect placements by the Eagles increases their lead. Wolves call their first time-out. Eagles lead 9-4. Wolves get the first point after the time out but Eagles take back possession and get 4 back-to-back points. Wolves #10 Katie Nashim tips it over for the Wolves point. #3 Gracie Smith gets the kill for the Wolves. The Eagles continue with their block streak and take another 2-points. Eagles fly away with the points and increase their lead 22-9 over the wolf pack. Wolves hustle on the court with some excellent rallies back and fourth but ultimately it's not enough to beat the Eagles – they take the first set 25-9.

The second set starts with Wolves #8 Aidan Armitage taking the serve. Points go back and fourth and a net serve by the Eagles gives the Wolves back possession. Wolves #10 Katie Nashim gets an ace serve. Teamwork by #8 Aidan Armitage and #3 Gracie Smith leads to another kill for the Wolves. Eagles dig in and get 3 back-to-back points. Wolves call a time out. Eagles lead 9-5. Eagles get the first kill after the time out. Eagles increase their lead over the Wolves, 17-6. Wolves call a second time out. A double touch by the Eagles leads to a Wolves point. Net serve by the Wolves. #15 Lexis Ouellette gets the kill for the Wolves. Eagles take the second set 25-12.

#1 Sierra LaValley gets the first kill of the third set. Perfect placement by #6 Jordan Betsworth gets the Eagles a point. Ace serve by Wolves #1 Sierra LaValley. #15 Lexis Ouellette gets the kill for the Wolves. #15 Lexis Ouelette turns into a stone wall with three blocks in a row and gets the Wolves another point. Eagles #8 Jillian Bieraugle with the powerful kill. Wolves answer back and #10 Katie Nashim gets the kill. Wolves lead 8-5. #10 Katie Nashim puts up the brick wall and blocks the Eagles – Wolves point. Ace serve by Eagles #15 McKenna Schrader. Wolves maintain their lead 12-9 over the Eagles. Wolves #8 Aidan Armitage sets up #1 Sierra LaValley for the Wolves point. Wolves continue to dig in and leave their mark. Wolves lead 16-13. A big block at Eagles #7 Brooke Risselada. Followed by another huge block by Wolves #10 Katie Nashim. Eagles call a time out.  #10 Katie Nashim gets another powerful block after the time out. Eagles #4 Samantha Silva answers back with a perfectly placed tip. After a second Eagles time out, they come back and tie the Wolves 22-22. Wolves are not ready to give up their lead and #15 Lexis Ouellette gets the kill. An out of bounds call gives the Wolves another point. A powerful spike by the Eagles ties the game again at 24-24. Eagles take the point and lead, 25-24 over the Wolves. Wolves answer back and tie it again at 25-25. After back and fourth points, Eagles take the set 30-28. Eagles win 3-0.
