ACAC Moves Forward with Preparations for the 2021/22 Season

April 23, 2021 (Edmonton) – With endorsement from the 17-member institution Presidents on a Return to Sport proposal, the ACAC has been granted approval to draft schedules and commence preparations for the delivery of a 2021-22 season of post-secondary athletics.
ACAC Cancels the 2021 Winter Athletics Season

Edmonton, AB, November 4, 2020 – As the result of recent developments, the ACAC has officially cancelled the 2021 extended winter semester season of athletics. A surge in Covid-19 cases in Alberta has caused the majority of ACAC member institutions to extend on-line academic program delivery into the winter 2021 semester in the interests of protecting the health and safety of students and the broader community.

Edmonton, AB, October 16, 2020 – During a Special General Meeting on October 15, 2020, the ACAC Conference Council supported a recommendation from the ACAC’s Covid-19 Planning Task Force to continue exploring options to conduct a season of post-secondary athletics in Winter and Spring 2021.
ACAC Suspends Consumption of All Student-Athlete Eligibility During 2020-21 Season

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference announced today that all ACAC student-athletes participating during the 2020-21 season will not consume eligibility against the 5-year maximum allotment for ACAC/CCAA post-secondary student-athletes.
