Rustlers, Ooks hold each other scoreless

Strong winds presided over a defensive battle, where the home team and the visitors took turns in putting on offensive pressure.

The Rustlers were looking to rebound from a loss in Grande Prairie, while the Ooks had won their opening game against King's. Early on both teams were able to generate chances, narrowly missing on multiple occasions. In the second half, Lakeland managed to take control of more possessions, though they were unable to convert against keeper Kailey Harder.

As the weather conditions worsened, the two teams maintained their pace of play, with time running out before a score could occur. For her strong two-way play, Kyla Franks won Player of the Game for the Rustlers, while Harder was named POG for the Ooks.
