Men's Basketball TKU Eagles v. AMB Lions
On November 29, the King's University Eagles Men's basketball team took on Ambrose University Lions at 8:00 p.m. in the King's University gymnasium.
In the first quarter, the game started with both teams exchanging shots, setting the tone for a high-scoring contest. For the Lions, Hunter Snyder knocked down a great three-pointer, and James Censon followed up with two solid shots. Prince Cuesta and David Mubagwa each added a key basket, and Jackson Earle contributed with a great three-pointer. Jarom Walton made his presence felt with an emphatic dunk and a layup. The Eagles responded quickly. Jonathan Barwegen hit two great shots, including a well-timed three-pointer, while Gavin Ouellette drained a three of his own. Joshua Povhe also made an impact with a great three-pointer, and David Loki displayed excellent court vision with his passing, driving, and scoring. Lucas Franks added strong drives to round out a well-balanced first quarter for the Eagles.
In the second quarter, the Eagles took control in the second quarter, with key plays from multiple players. David Loki nailed a three-pointer and followed it up with great shooting, while Evan Castle contributed with a strong layup and a couple of solid shots. Brock Stupar's all-around play was crucial, as he added a shot, several layups, and even a three-pointer. Gabrielle Ostermayer also made his mark with a critical block. Joshua Povhe continued his excellent shooting with another key basket. The Lions kept the pressure on with Dylan Pearson hitting a great shot, and Jarom Walton connecting on a long-range three-pointer. Hunter Snyder and James Censon also remained consistent, making key shots to keep the game close.
In the third quarter, the Lions fought back in the third, with a series of great shots. Hunter Snyder hit another excellent shot, and David Mubagwa added to the Lions' scoring effort with a nice basket. James Censon was hot from beyond the arc, knocking down a couple of impressive three-pointers, and Jarom Walton continued his strong play with another three-pointer.
But the Eagles responded with an offensive explosion. Brock Stupar displayed excellent ball handling, adding both three-pointers and crucial shots to extend the lead. Seth Parker made a major impact with a smooth hook shot and a well-executed three-pointer, rounding out a strong offensive showing from the Eagles.
In the fourth and final quarter, the Eagles held off the Lions' late push with strong individual performances. Brock Stupar was everywhere, contributing with a key block, a drive to the basket, and important shots to keep the Eagles' momentum going. Jonathan Barwegen hit a clutch shot and layup, while Evan Castle continued to contribute with two key shots, including a crucial basket in the closing minutes. The Lions didn't go down without a fight. Dylan Pearson had a great block and shot, while Jarom Walton continued his hot streak, knocking down multiple three-pointers and scoring from all over the floor. James Censon also hit a big three-pointer to keep the Lions within striking distance. However, despite their best efforts, the Lions couldn't close the gap in the final seconds.
With high liveliness in the gym's atmosphere, both teams did a fantastic hardworking job in today's game.
