RDP Queens edge Broncos in game three for ACAC gold

After a six year hiatus, the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens are back on top of Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women’s Hockey. A third period goal from first-year forward Dylan Norrie turned out to be the game winner as the RDP Queens earned their fourth ACAC gold medal.

Broncos Women's Hockey Program Falls to RDP in Game 2 of ACAC Finals

After a close 2-1 loss in Red Deer on Friday night, the Olds College Broncos Women's Hockey program was back in action on Sunday as they hoped to tie the series against the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens at one game a piece.

A third period goal from Queens first-year forward Alli Soyko was the difference in game one of best-of-five championship series against the Olds College Broncos. The Queens and Broncos were even after 40 minutes and then Soyko scored the eventual game winner, providing the Polytechnic with the first victory of the final.

RDP Queens get by Broncos in final regular season game, earn first

With a home victory Friday evening against the Broncos, the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens have sealed a spot in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Championship final. The home team received a pair of points from captain Camryn Wallan and downed the Olds College Broncos 2-1 Friday evening at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.
